Steve Broumley is the founder and president of Smashing Studios LLC, based in Austin, Texas. Smashing Studios is dedicated to combining superb technical skills with a passion for video games to create fun, cutting edge titles.

Steve has been a software engineer in the video games industry for over 20 years with experience dating back to the good old days of the 8bit Atari800xl. After obtaining his Bsc. dual honors degree in applied math and computer science at Sheffield University, England, he packed his bags and traveled across the pond to start his career in America. Since then, he has shipped over 15 professional titles across all the major platforms.

Steve’s experience ranges from lead programmer to technical director managing large teams. His specialties include project management, cross-platform development, physics, networking, graphics, game play and basically tackling any technical system necessary to get the job done.
